Telephony

Telephony is provided to the tenants via a digital telephone system. The Avaya Definity system enables users to get the best functionality available to them. Digital feature handsets provide benefits such as voicemail, conference calling, multiple call handling and call forwarding. ISDN supplies digital rather than analogue lines meaning all incoming calls can be dealt with rather than customers hearing engaged tones.

Broadband Internet

The College Business Centre has an uncontended broadband leased line delivering a service way in advance of regular ADSL.

The leased line offers same speed for both uploads and downloads (synchronous connectivity) this type of connectivity is critical for applications like file sharing between two locations, hosting websites/ mail servers or video conferencing.

The line is supported by a comprehensive service level agreement with a guaranteed fix time. Tenants also have the option of using a dedicated slice of bandwidth at a considerable saving compared to committing to their own line.
